Bina's goal is "Jewish Wisdom for Life" and this is cultivated through offering over 35 programs weekly catering to between 500 and 600 people a week.  They cover a wide spectrum of the community, hosting classes in parenting, Kabbalah, relationships, Talmud, self-development and skills for Jewish living.

Embassy Spokesperson Dor Shapira, addresses the students

The Embassy of Israel was pleased to host a round of the ACT Model United Nations competition.  The competition consists of teams of high school students acting as a mock United Nations Security Council.

The teams debated three resolutions tackling issues such as dealing with rising oil prices, the increasing missile capabilities of Iran and the Georgia - Russia conflict.  Teams were judged on their debating and negotiating skills.  The winning teams will participate in a final to be held a Parliament House later in the year.

The Embassy would like to thank the ACT Jewish Community Centre for their strong support and assistance in hosting the competition.
